Bradford's furnace tune-up is a full 20-point inspection — not a quick filter swap. Here's exactly what we check:
Safety Note: Heat Exchanger Inspection
A cracked heat exchanger can leak carbon monoxide into your living space. This is the most important safety check in any furnace tune-up — and it can only be found with a proper inspection. Bradford checks every heat exchanger on every tune-up, no exceptions.
Arizona furnaces run far fewer hours than those in cold climates — but that doesn't mean they can skip maintenance. Sitting idle for 8–9 months creates its own problems.
After 8–9 months of sitting idle, dust accumulates in burners and heat exchangers. This causes inefficient combustion, yellow flames, and increased carbon monoxide risk.
Hot surface igniters are the most common furnace failure point. They age and crack over time — and fail at the worst possible moment. A tune-up catches a weak igniter before it fails.
Gas connections and fittings can develop minor leaks over time. Bradford checks all gas connections and pressures during every tune-up as part of the safety inspection.
